Female Disability Support Worker (Urgent)

Location: Dubbo, New South Wales 2830, Australia

Pay Rate: SCHADS Award Level 2.1

Weekday Shifts Only:

  • Morning: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Sleepover: 4:00 PM – 8:00 AM

We're seeking a compassionate and skilled Disability Support Worker to provide essential care to a client with complex medical and behavioral needs. If you have experience supporting non-verbal individuals and can recognize behavioral cues, we'd love to hear from you

About the Role

You will support a client with Schizophrenia, PTSD, COPD, Stroke History, Acquired Brain Injury, and Epilepsy, managing mobility, medication, and emotional well-being.

Key Challenges & Support Needs:

Non-Verbal Communication – Recognizing distress cues & responding effectively

Aggression & Self-Harm – Implementing de-escalation strategies

Medication & Health Support – Ensuring compliance & monitoring conditions

Mobility & Daily Living Assistance – Supporting transfers, hygiene & rehabilitation

What We're Looking For

2+ years of experience in Aged Care or NDIS

Strong understanding of non-verbal communication & behavioral cues

Crisis management & de-escalation skills

Patience & resilience in high-pressure situations

Personal care & mobility assistance expertise

Essential Requirements

Certificate III or IV in Disability (Highly Preferred)

NDIS Worker Screening & Employee Working with Children Check

National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)

Valid Australian Driver's License & Insured Vehicle

Current First Aid & CPR Certificates
