The Business

Partum Engineering is a leading Australian engineering consultancy based in Burswood, Western Australia. At Partum, we design the electrical infrastructure that powers Australia's future. Our team delivers specialist engineering and design services across the energy sector, from high-voltage substations and renewable generation projects to grid connection and protection systems. 

We're looking for Graduate Electrical Engineers who are passionate about learning, problem-solving, and contributing to a more sustainable, reliable energy network for the future.

The Role

We currently have exciting opportunities for motivated, recent graduates to join us as Graduate Electrical Engineers.

You'll work alongside experienced engineers and designers on projects spanning:

  • Transmission and distribution powerlines and cables
  • Substation design up to 500kV
  • Renewable generation and energy storage systems
  • Protection, SCADA, and communications design
  • Earthing, high-voltage, and low-voltage design packages

You'll gain exposure to the full project lifecycle, from concept and feasibility through to detailed design, verification, and construction support.

Our structured two-year Graduate Program includes:

  • Diverse experience: Rotate through different teams and disciplines to broaden your technical expertise.
  • Industry exposure: Build a strong understanding of the energy industry and stakeholder environment.
  • Mentorship: Learn from senior professionals who will support and guide your development journey.

About You

To be successful in this role you will need to:

  • Be a recent graduate or within your final year of study in Engineering (preferrably Electrical or Civil).
  • Be able to manage multiple projects concurrently, including some with short delivery timeframes.
  • Have a keen eye for detail and a focus on quality and performance.
  • Demonstrate clear and confident communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality technical reports.
  • Be willing to attend site from time to time for data collection, asset assessments, inspections, and commissioning support.
  • Have a high level of IT proficiency and technical literacy.
