Workfastis looking for experienced Traffic Controllers to work in Melbourne, VIC.Ongoing work, including public holidays, weekdays and weekends for the right candidate.

  • $33.47 base rate per hour with OT/Public Holiday loading + super
  • Experience and opportunity to work on big events

What you need

  • Must have valid FUUL traffic control tickets (NO TC1 TM1)
  • Must have Traffic Control experience
  • RIIWHS205E Control traffic with stop/slow bat course
  • RIIWHS302E – Implement traffic management plans
  • Construction induction – white card
  • Drivers license
  • Have your own two-way radio and Traffic Control PPE
  • Able to work in a team and able to work individually
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Well-presented and punctual
  • Must be available to work on weekends as well

What you will be doing

  • Perform all tasks associated with traffic management
  • Site clean-up and worksite duty
  • Travel to different locations
  • Use of the Stop/Slow Bat to control traffic
  • Sound verbal skills with knowledge of 2-way radio
  • Implement and monitor operational Traffic Management Plans
  • Complete vehicle pre-start checks
  • Load and unload vehicles with signage and equipment
  • Complete the required paperwork
  • Report on-site hazards and near misses
  • Obey instructions from team leaders, foremen, inspectors and auditors
