As part of a compassionate, multidisciplinary team in the Mental Health and Wellbeing Hub, you'll play a vital role in supporting adults in Victoria who are experiencing mental health or wellbeing challenges. In this role, you will deliver short-term, generalist mental health counselling tailored to individual needs. This includes providing brief, solution-focused interventions, conducting risk assessments, liaising with medical and allied health professionals, and referring clients to long-term mental health or specialist services where appropriate.
About the programMental Health and Wellbeing Hubs were established in 2021 in response to the increased need for mental health support during the COVID-19 pandemic. These Hubs provide free, accessible support to adults in Victoria who are experiencing mental health or wellbeing challenges. They complement clinical treatment by offering active, non-clinical support to individuals currently experiencing or recovering from mental ill-health.
Support is also available to families, friends, and carers of those affected by mental health challenges. Many service users may be facing co-occurring issues such as physical health concerns, Alcohol and Other Drug (AOD) use, or housing instability. The Hubs also support individuals experiencing family violence (FV), and where needed, facilitate referrals to specialist FV services.

- Demonstrated experience in mental health counselling, including brief interventions, within a recovery-oriented and trauma-informed framework.
