Join our dedicated team as a Mental Health Clinician, providing holistic, evidence-based care to support recovery for individuals experiencing mental health challenges. Working collaboratively with Senior Clinicians and Team Leaders, you'll deliver comprehensive bio-psycho-social clinical assessments, treatment, and care plans that prioritise consumer centered and family inclusive practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, identifying and prioritising needs for consumers and families.
• Serve as the primary treating clinician within a multidisciplinary team focused on continuous improvement, community-based, evidence-based best practices
• Develop, implement, and review individualised treatment plans addressing biological, psychological, and social needs.
• Evaluate treatments outcomes, ensuring optimal recovery for consumers and families.
• Actively involve families in care delivery, promoting recovery-oriented practices in everyday clinical work.
• Demonstrate knowledge and skills in daily clinical practice with respect to the routine, active involvement of families in the delivery of clinical treatments.
• Rural teams are required to work weekends as rostered, as well as on-call rosters on weekends and afterhours.

Skills and experience

• Ideally you will have experience working in a Community Mental Health team
• Strong clinical assessment skills
• Experience working within a multi-disciplinary team
• Ability to work both independently and within a team structure
• Relevant professional qualification one of the below health-related disciplines, and current registration where applicable;
• Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 3
• Psychologist Grade 2
• Social Worker Grade 2
• Occupational Therapist Grade 2
