About The Role
An exciting opportunity exists for a Director of Finance to be part of this iconic luxury hotel in Melbourne. You will be responsible for overseeing the smooth and efficient operation of the hotel Finance function on a day to day basis, working closely with your team and ensuring deliverables to all stakeholders.
Some of the responsibilities include:
- Ensure all accounting practices comply with all Company and Government regulations
- Compile, update and maintain all budgets and forecasts
- Administer and control all cash management for the Hotel
- Administration of all insurance matters in conjunction with local brokers
- Liaise with internal and external auditors
- Work closely with Departments to ensure payroll management and efficiencies
- Maintain capital expenditure register
- Proactively initiate communication with Owners.
- Actively lead, coach and mentor all members of the Finance team to ensure they are equipped to do their job while also developing them for the future.
Qualifications
What you bring to the role
- Previous experience in a similar role within the hotel industry is essential
- CA / CPA Accreditation
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks with accuracy while working within a proactive and problem-solving mindset
- Strong interpersonal skills to build effective relationships with all stakeholders and develop a culture of growth and accountability
- Proven success in leading and developing teams
