What's the role?
We're looking for a commercially minded operator to join our Financial Crime Surveillance team - part of Westpac's Risk Division, where we work to detect, deter and fight financial crime.
In this role, you'll be the go-to person for managing the team's commercial operations. That means overseeing financial reporting and forecasting, managing vendor relationships, supporting workforce capacity planning, and helping us run our operations smoothly and efficiently.
What do I need?
We're after someone who's practical, analytical, and great at making sense of numbers and operations. You don't need a specific number of years' experience or formal qualifications - just the right skills and mindset.
Here's what will help you succeed:
- Confidence working with financial data and reporting tools (essential)
- Experience developing and maintaining budgets and forecasting (essential)
- Ability to assess workforce needs and plan resources using modelling (essential)
- Strong vendor management and negotiation skills (essential)
- A knack for turning data into insights that drive better decisions
Great communication skills and a collaborative approach
