About the role:
The Finance team provides complete financial services and advice to the whole of WA Football whilst meeting statutory and regulatory obligations, guiding the financial culture and leadership, managing and executing the WAF financial strategy and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement in the efficient and effective deployment of the WAF financial resources.
This position plays a key role in the organisation, supporting across:
- Accounts Receivable function (including invoice preparation and collection of outstanding monies)
- Financial information processing in an accurate and timely way, and provision of monthly management reports
- Financial statement preparation in accordance with accounting standards
- Financial enquiries from staff and stakeholders
- Assisting the Financial Controller with the external audits
- Overseeing WAFL and AFL Club account reconciliations
- ABS Surveys
- Other special projects as directed by the Financial Controller
To be considered for this position you will need to demonstrate the following essential criteria:
- General accounting experience (3-5 years) including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank reconciliation
- Demonstrated experience using an ERP, preferably Business Central
- Strong technical skills in Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint
- A high level of accuracy and a strong eye for detail
- Financial analysis experience
