Stone Artisan Bakers Southside is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-Time Bakery Assistant Manager to join our retail team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about artisan baking, customer service, and leadership within a vibrant and supportive environment.

We specialise in traditional sourdough, Italian and French inspired breads, along with hand-crafted artisan pies, pastries, quality cakes and of course, delicious coffee.

We are looking for a motivated individual with excellent customer service skills and a passion for all things coffee.

This role will require one weekend day.

  • Assist the Store Manager in the daily operation of the bakery, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to a very high standard.
  • Lead, supervise, and motivate the retail team, fostering a positive workplace culture.
  • Ability to provide a genuine and unique customer experience.
  • Deliver excellent customer service, addressing customer queries promptly.
  • Strong organisation and communication skills.
  • Oversee inventory management, ordering supplies, and ensuring stock levels are maintained.
  • Assist in merchandising, stock rotation, and maintaining an attractive shopfront.
  • Uphold food safety, hygiene, and occupational health and safety standards at all times.
  • Participate in hands-on baking and preparation as required, maintaining the quality and consistency of our products.
  • Contribute to financial management including cash handling, banking, and assisting with sales reporting.
  • Operation of POS Software.
  • Barista experience is necessary.
  • A positive attitude and take pride in your personal style and presentation.
