Accounts Payable Officer

Due to an internal promotion, we are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Officer to join the Finance team at our head office in Perth, Western Australia.

About the role:

The Accounts Payable Officer will be required to assist with all accounts payable tasks and provide clerical support across the finance team at our busy Morley office. You will look after invoice processing, payments, reconciliation and reporting, vendor relations, compliance and documentation, and assisting in continuous improvement for your department.

Your day-to-day duties will include:

• Paying suppliers on time and correctly.
• Recording all transactions correctly in the accounting system.
• Ensuring all transactions follow the Purchase to Pay process (including approval process).
• Making sure supplier statements and monthly accounts are reconciled.

About you:

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a proactive approach to problem-solving. To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:

• Minimum of 2-3 years of accounts payable experience, ideally in the food manufacturing industry (preferred but not essential).
• Proficiency in using Pronto ERP or similar ERP systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, coupled with excellent time management skills.
• The ability to handle high volumes of transactions and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Desirable but not mandatory: A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
