Disability Support Worker – Earlwood (Behavioural & Complex Needs)

Location: Earlwood

Mars Hill Care is seeking a calm, reliable, and emotionally intelligent Disability Support Worker to join our residential care team supporting adults with complex neurodevelopmental and behavioural needs.

This role is ideal for someone who values consistency, structure, and person-centred care, and who can remain composed and professional in a dynamic support environment.

About the Role

You will be part of a stable, dedicated team providing 1:1 active support in a structured home setting.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Delivering daily living and personal care supports with dignity and respect.
  • Implementing individual behaviour support and sensory regulation strategies.
  • Using a calm, low-arousal approach during moments of distress or behavioural escalation.
  • Promoting safety, engagement, and routine through structured daily activities.
  • Accurately documenting observations, incidents, and progress in line with NDIS standards.
  • Working collaboratively with families, allied health professionals, and the coordination team to maintain high-quality, consistent care.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Calm and emotionally resilient, able to stay grounded under pressure.
  • Observant and patient, with strong attention to behavioural cues.
  • Reliable and consistent, providing stability for individuals who thrive on routine.
  • Respectful and person-centred, upholding dignity and choice in every interaction.
  • Experienced or keen to learn in areas such as autism support, behaviour management, or trauma-informed care.

Essential Requirements

  • Current Driver's Licence and reliable, insured vehicle.
  • Valid NDIS Worker Screening Check and Working With Children Check.
  • Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Willingness to follow structured Behaviour Support Plans and maintain accurate records.

(Previous experience in complex behavioural support, SIL environments, or neurodevelopmental care is highly regarded.)
