A vacancy exists for a highly motivated Clinical Support Administrator (CSA) with appropriate knowledge and skills to join the Short Stay Surgical Unit at Sydney Children's Hospital Randwick. The CSA will be responsible for providing administrative support for the unit including assisting clinical staff and responding to enquiries from staff, patients and families. This permanent part time position has set hours which are; 6 hours on Friday, and 4 hours on both Saturday and Sunday.
What you'll be doing
The Clinical Support Administrator provides administrative support for a health care team on a designated ward/unit under the direction of the Nursing Unit Manager. The Clinical Support Administrator works under broad supervision, and is given scope to exercise initiative in the application of established work practices and procedures to achieve excellent customer service within the unit (patients/families and staff).
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a Certificate 3 in Health Administration or similar qualification. Current SCHN casual and temporary contract staff can meet Criteria 1 by indicating a willingness to complete the qualification with the designated training provider within 18months of appointment to a CSA role.
- Demonstrates experience in use of Information Systems, including patient administration systems, word processing, email, databases and preparation and use of spreadsheets.
- Demonstrates ability to work effectively as a key member of a multi-disciplinary health team to enable the provision of excellent customer service.
