Brisbane, Queensland, Australia Gallantree Full time

The Technical Product Manager at Gallantree is a hybrid thinker—part engineer, part product strategist, part business analysis and part designer—who thrives at the intersection of technology, design, and AI transformation. Joining Gallantree's Engineering and Platform division, you'll play a key role in designing, delivering, and scaling next-generation AI companion agents that enhance engineering productivity and later extend across business domains such as finance, HR, and operations.

This role requires a person who combines business analysis expertise with technical fluency, hands-on API and coding familiarity, and a design-centric mindset. You'll translate complex business problems into elegant system and UI solutions, leveraging tools like Sketch, Miro, and Figma to map user flows, wireframes, and prototypes. You'll collaborate with developers, designers, and product owners to build intelligent systems that modernise structured finance workflows and deliver an industry-leading origination and investment platform.

You'll help bridge the gap between strategy and implementation—capturing requirements, designing user experiences, supporting API integration, and ensuring that the AI-driven systems we build are as intuitive as they are powerful.

Key Responsibilities

Discovery, Analysis & Scoping

  • Facilitate discovery sessions and workshops to capture business needs, workflows, and user experience goals.
  • Translate strategy and business problems into structured user stories, technical specs, and wireframes.
  • Run story-mapping and design-thinking sessions using Miro or Sketch to frame problems and define measurable outcomes.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and AI teams to ensure business and technical alignment.

Platform Development & Product Management

  • Partner with developers to support API design, documentation, and integration across Gallantree's platform.
  • Write basic code snippets or queries (e.g., JSON, REST calls, SQL, or Python scripts) to validate APIs or test data pipelines.
  • Support the configuration and enhancement of internal systems used for loan onboarding, risk analysis, and investor reporting.
  • Contribute to the design of scalable and automated systems supporting structured credit and capital markets workflows.
  • Participate in testing, release planning, and deployment readiness reviews.

Design & UI/UX Development

  • Take full ownership of UI/UX design across Gallantree's internal and external platforms, from concept through to delivery.
  • Use Sketch, Figma, and Miro to design high-quality user interfaces, wireframes, prototypes, and interaction flows that balance usability, performance, and visual consistency.
  • Conduct user research and feedback sessions to validate design decisions, identify pain points, and continuously improve platform experience.
  • Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and component libraries to ensure scalability and consistency across products.
  • Apply a user-centered design approach to translate business and technical requirements into intuitive workflows and visually engaging interfaces.
  • Collaborate directly with developers to ensure accurate front-end implementation of designs and to refine interactions and layouts during development.
  • Uphold accessibility, responsive design, and brand standards, ensuring Gallantree's products deliver a seamless and professional user experience.

Data & Workflow Optimisation

  • Map and optimise data flows across credit risk modelling, loan lifecycle management, and securitisation processes.
  • Collaborate with engineers to define API endpoints, payloads, and data contracts that enable system interoperability.
  • Support definition of data dictionaries, field mappings, and workflow logic.
  • Identify automation opportunities through AI agents, scripting, or workflow orchestration.

Documentation & Artefact Management

  • Maintain detailed technical documentation in Confluence—including system diagrams, architecture overviews, and user guides.
  • Produce API specifications, endpoint documentation, and schema references.
  • Create visual artefacts (mockups, data maps, flow diagrams) to communicate design intent and technical context.
  • Write internal release notes, FAQs, and process SOPs to support scale and onboarding.

Agile Delivery & Iteration

  • Manage Jira boards, ensuring epics, stories, and tasks reflect priorities and dependencies.
  • Lead sprint ceremonies (planning, reviews, retrospectives) and ensure alignment across squads.
  • Track deliverables and dependencies, escalating risks or blockers early.

Governance, Compliance & Risk

  • Map compliance and audit requirements to system and data flows.
  • Ensure platform and API documentation meets regulatory and investor due-diligence standards.
  • Support data integrity, access control, and audit logging initiatives in partnership with engineering and legal teams.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with Product, Operations, Risk, Legal, and Design to deliver unified platform outcomes.
  • Support investor and internal operations teams with data analysis, ad-hoc queries, or troubleshooting.
  • Contribute to internal enablement by mentoring junior analysts and sharing best practices in agile, data, and UX disciplines.

Key Skills & Experience

  • 4–7 years in a Technical Business Analyst or Product Manager role within fintech, banking, or enterprise SaaS.
  • Experience working in agile environments using Jira, Confluence, and Git-based workflows.
  • Solid understanding of APIs, REST architecture, JSON, and basic coding (Python, Node, or JavaScript).
  • Ability to design, validate, and test API integrations using tools like Postman or Swagger.
  • Proficiency with Sketch, Figma, and Miro for visual design and user-journey mapping.
  • Experience translating technical specifications into intuitive UI/UX flows and interactive prototypes.
  • Familiarity with structured finance, lending, or capital markets is advantageous.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, with high attention to technical and visual detail.

Self-starter who thrives in a fast-moving, high-growth environment and enjoys bridging business and technology. Competitive Salary + Equity remuneration package.
