Coote Family Lawyers is expanding

We are seeking a Family Law Solicitor with 5+ years post qualification experience (PQE) to join our team and play a pivotal role in supporting clients through some of life's most challenging circumstances.

Role Description

As a Family Law Solicitor of 5+PQE, you will manage a diverse caseload across all aspects of family law including divorce, property settlements, parenting arrangements, spousal maintenance and family violence intervention orders. You will provide strategic legal advice, represent clients in various legal forums and ensure matters are handled with discretion, empathy and the highest professional standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (JD).
  • Admission as a solicitor in an Australian jurisdiction and a current Practising Certificate.
  • Minimum 5 years Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) in Family Law
  • Strong negotiation, mediation, and advocacy skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • High emotional intelligence, resilience, and the ability to remain composed in challenging situations.
  • Strong legal research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in legal practice management software.
  • Exceptional organisational and time management abilities.

Desirable Attributes

  • Accreditation as a Family Law Specialist
  • Experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds.
  • Familiarity with alternative dispute resolution methods.
  • Commitment to social justice and community legal education.

Salary range:
$150,000-$200,000
