Located near Parliament Station in Melbourne, we are seeking to recruit a full time Senior Associate - Corporate, Planning & Investments, who has responsibility for the delivery of transactional accounting and compliance services for five different agricultural assets located across Australia.

About the role

As Senior Associate - Corporate, Planning & Investments, you will play a critical role in the company's long-term financial governance, control and growth and planning strategy. Working in a collegiate, entrepreneurial and high-performance culture, you will report to the CFO with direct exposure to the C-suite leadership team.

With a mandate for growth you will have a unique opportunity to work on a broad range of financial control and deal activities in an environment committed to your development.

Candidates will ideally come from a Big 4 or top tier professional services, corporate finance or investment banking background.

Key responsibilities

· Financial governance, management and statutory reporting activities for the investment portfolio pool of assets;

· Identify and assess potential acquisition, divestment, and partnership opportunities aligned with corporate strategy;

· Lead 3-way financial modelling, valuation analysis, market research and due diligence;

· Prepare investment cases and board-level presentations for proposed transactions;

· Partner with internal stakeholders including legal, finance, operations, and business units during deal execution and integration;

· Partner with senior leaders to identify and deliver sustainable business value across the investment portfolio, providing insights on strategic initiatives, risks, and opportunities.

· Take responsibility for the periodic investor board pack preparation and collation;

· Ad hoc analysis and evaluation of the financial and operating performance of the investment group; and

· Leading the annual budgeting process and ongoing rolling forecasting processes.

About you

· –7 years' experience in financial control, corporate development, or transaction services;

· Strong financial reporting and control, modelling, commercial analysis, and deal execution skills;

· Strong excel skills – managing large data sets and presenting information in a digestible and easy-to-understand way;

· Extensive financial planning and analysis skills and experience;

· Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment;

· Degree in Finance, Commerce, Economic or related field; CA, CFA or MBA highly regarded; and

· Highly diligent with unparalleled attention to detail.
