Role Highlights
As Capital Works Contracts Advisor, you will support the full lifecycle of contract management activities relating to Asset Development and Delivery for capital works contracts utilising AS4000 and bespoke suite of contracts. The role will ensure an effective contract management approach is adopted from a Project Management and Commercial outcomes perspective.
In this diverse, hands-on role, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Develop and lead the contracting strategy and procurement planning process for a significant upcoming program of capital refurbishment works.
Assist the project delivery and procurement teams with tender documentation development, bid evaluation and award processes.
Provide contract management advice, mentoring and support to the project teams across the full portfolio of projects.
Support the Contract Superintendent in assessing variations, claims and disputes to deliver improved procurement and contract outcomes and mitigate risks.
Undertake the role and accountabilities of Superintendents Representative across multiple contracts.
What Makes You a Great Fit
You have a sound understanding of the AS4000 suite of contracts, procurement processes and commercial risk management gained through hands on infrastructure delivery experience. You bring proven interpersonal, relationship management and negotiation skills with the ability to liaise, consult and negotiate effectively at all management levels.
You'll also bring:
Tertiary qualification and demonstrated commercial experience in a relevant discipline (e.g. Strategic Construction Contract Management, Infrastructure development and delivery, Law, Engineering, Commerce).
Substantial experience in contract management of infrastructure development and delivery projects. Experience in utilising or coordinating with general counsel for high level legal advice on broad ranging legal matters associated with infrastructure development and delivery.
Extensive experience administering AS4000 and other standard forms of contracts, including managing claims and dispute resolution.
A mindset of continuous improvement, consistently seeking ways to enhance systems, processes, and outcomes while embodying our core values of Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence (CARE).
