Stanton Café is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Chef de Partie to join our dynamic kitchen team. As a Chef de Partie, you will oversee and manage your own section of the kitchen during service, ensuring high-quality food preparation and presentation. The position requires a strong understanding of kitchen operations, food safety standards, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure in a busy environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation & Presentation:
  • Prepare and execute menu items to the highest standards of taste, presentation, and consistency.
  • Ensure that all dishes are prepared according to recipes and presentation standards, maintaining uniformity in portion sizes and plating.
  • Manage Kitchen Section:
  • Oversee a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring smooth service and efficient workflow.
  • Coordinate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate food preparation, ensuring all orders are completed on time.
  • Food Safety & Hygiene:
  • Maintain strict hygiene and cleanliness standards in compliance with HACCP and food safety guidelines.
  • Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and maintained according to the company's procedures.
  • Monitor food storage and stock levels, rotating items according to FIFO (First In, First Out) principles.
  • Team Collaboration & Leadership:
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, ensuring they are adhering to quality and safety standards.
  • Provide direction and support to the kitchen team during service, motivating and ensuring efficiency during peak times.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative working environment, encouraging teamwork and professional growth.
  • Stock Management & Ordering:
  • Assist with the management of stock levels, ensuring sufficient supplies for daily service.
  • Help in placing orders for stock and ingredients, monitoring inventory, and minimizing food waste.
  • Menu & Recipe Development:
  • Contribute to menu planning and creative input for daily specials and seasonal menus.
  • Assist in the development of new recipes, ensuring they align with the café's concept and customer preferences.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $70,000.00 – $70,001.00 per year
