About the Role
As a Practice Manager at the Reserve Bank of Australia (RBA), you will be responsible for leading the delivery of critical and strategic integration focused projects that connect systems, data, and services across the Bank. You will develop a delivery practice and uplift ways of working and standards to improve the quality, consistency, and efficiency of integration project outcomes, while addressing supporting infrastructure and operational challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, lead, guide, manage and organise a project delivery team within the Integration Services team to achieve organisational outcomes within agreed timeframes, cost, and success targets
- Effectively manage people with skills development, prioritisation, performance, and leave management, and execute resourcing and recruitment strategies to ensure the practice has the right mix of skills and expertise to meet project needs
- Contribute to the development, improvement, and implementation of policies, standards, systems and processes, ensuring the integrity and suitability of information, disciplined documentation, alignment with industry standards, and achieve high quality across delivery and in the transition to business-as-usual operations
- Manage stakeholder and vendor relationships, ensuring expectations are aligned, blockers are resolved, and procurement processes are effectively executed
- Identify and respond to issues, risks and opportunities, support collaboration efforts across cross-functional teams and vendors, and ensure appropriate processes and resources are in place to consistently deliver to requirements and service levels
About You
- Experience in people leadership and management, including leading, coaching, developing, and motivating teams and managers with a focus on capability, quality, and assurance
- You foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability
- Strong understanding and technical expertise in hybrid Integration Systems including API's, data transfers, application integration, and middleware for bespoke and enterprise-based integration technologies and solutions
- Experience with IBM Sterling Integrator, MQ, Azure Logic Apps, and API Management is highly desirable
- Proven experience in delivering integration projects that drive improvements in quality, reliability, and modernisation
- Deep understanding of Financial/Government (or similar organisation) and area-specific policies and processes with demonstrated ability to monitor and guide on compliance
- Strong understanding and experience of portfolio and project delivery disciplines spanning waterfall and agile techniques, and related methodologies and tools
- Experience in project delivery and management skills including estimation, planning, tracking, reviewing, reporting, issue resolution, influencing and negotiating
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills across seniority levels, and experience in representing infrastructure and operations across the Bank or similar organisation
