Rupert & Hound, located at the vibrant Launceston Seaport, serves a modern Australian menu with a European influence, showcasing Tasmania's finest local seafood and produce. Open Wednesday to Sunday for lunch and dinner, Rupert & Hound blends waterfront views, upbeat energy and genuine hospitality to create memorable experiences for locals and visitors alike.

Positions Available

Casual – Minimum 15 hours, up to 35 hours per week

Part-Time – 25 to 35 hours per week

Full-Time – 38 hours per week (salary or hourly with penalties)

Food & Beverage Attendant – Award Level 2 / 3

We are looking for experienced front-of-house professionals who love what they do. You'll bring enthusiasm, initiative and a passion for providing outstanding guest service. You will be a brand ambassador for our venues and take pride in creating memorable dining experiences.

Experience in a café or a la carte restaurant environment is essential.

Senior Restaurant Supervisor / Assistant Manager – Award Level 4 / 5 / 6

We are seeking an experienced and motivated hospitality professional ready to take the next step in their career.

You will lead by example, mentor and support junior team members and assist management with the daily operations of the restaurant.

To succeed, you will need:

• Proven experience in a restaurant or bar leadership role
• A genuine passion for hospitality and team development
• A hands-on approach with strong organisational and communication skills
• The ability to motivate and inspire others in a fast-paced environment

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone ready to grow into a senior leadership role within an expanding hospitality group.

Bar Attendant – Award Level 3

Join our creative, fast-paced beverage teams at Rupert & Hound or Cataract on Paterson. You will need your RSA and proven experience behind the bar or on the restaurant floor. You will now know your way around both a cocktail shaker and a busy section and take pride in delivering consistent quality and friendly, confident service.
