We are looking for experienced Open Cut Metal Mining Engineers, to assist our Tier 1 Clients in PNG. The role is a 3:2 FIFO with travel on company time, FIFO available out of any Australian or New Zealand Capital City.

The roles involve supporting active open cut operations in PNG as a principle consultant in the role as long term planner as a long term embedded consultant.

Working with an established technical services team, you will assist with day to day support to enable smooth operations with regards to medium to long term mine planning, scheduling, as well as regular optimisation to maximise NPV.

All travel time and costs, as well as accommodation will be covered, ensuring you are not out of pocket for any expenses, alongside Prime Mining's industry leading remuneration.

The roles duties include but are not limited to:

• Develop long term mine plans that best utilise the resource and maximise NPV.
• Integrate medium term plans and schedules into the long term plan.
• Scheduling, forecasting and budgeting across life of mine.
• On a regular basis present to corporate teams on the latest mine developments and strategy.
• Training of team members how to use the deswik suite.

• A tertiary qualification in Mining/Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Located in an Australian Capital City.
• You have 10+ Years experience in mining in Australia and an established understanding of mining operations.
• Experience presenting life of mine strategies to corporate teams and undertaking strategic reviews/revisions.
• The site has newly adopted Deswik and are looking for a strong user of Deswik CAD and Scheduler. Knowledge of LHS and Blend would also be highly advantageous.
• Previous Expat experience will be highly regarded but not necessary.
• Current Australian drivers licence.
• Have exceptional and professional communication skills to engage and influence other personnel within the business.
• Have excellent time management and task prioritisation skills.
