An excellent opportunity is available for a driven and detail-oriented Accountant to join the corporate head office in Sydney.
As a leading operator of modern medical centres across Sydney, we are looking for a key team member to support our busy finance department and contribute to our ongoing success. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for the full spectrum of accounting functions for our corporate entity and its network of clinics.
Key Responsibilities:
· Prepare timely and accurate month-end journals, financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet), and management reports for the group.
· Manage the full-cycle accounts payable process, including supplier invoice processing, payment runs, and practitioner fee settlements.
· Oversee the accounts receivable function, including the complex reconciliation of payments from Medicare and private health insurers.
· Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations and ensure all key balance sheet accounts are reconciled and substantiated.
· Prepare and lodge monthly/quarterly Business Activity Statements (BAS) and assist with annual FBT and income tax return processes.
· Assist with the annual budgeting process and provide insightful variance analysis of financial performance against targets for each clinic.
· Maintain the fixed asset register, tracking additions, disposals, and calculating monthly depreciation.
· Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal controls.
· Provide essential support during internal and external audit periods.
What We're Looking For:
· A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· A minimum of 2 years of experience in an end-to-end accounting role.
· A keen eye for detail and exceptional organisational and multi-tasking abilities.
· Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-player attitude.
