Senior Accountant – Sydney CBD | $110,000 + Super

Are you a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong experience in the finance and investments sector? We're a boutique investment and lending firm based in Sydney's CBD, seeking a Senior Accountant to take ownership of our financial operations and support our growing business.

About the Role

This is a full-time, office-based position, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a close-knit team and values accuracy, integrity, and proactive problem-solving. You'll be responsible for managing the firm's accounting functions, ensuring compliance, and providing insights that help guide key investment and lending decisions.

Key Responsibilities

· Prepare and review weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports

· Maintain general ledger, accounts payable, receivable, and payroll

· Manage cash flow, reconciliations, and reporting for investment portfolios and loan accounts

· Ensure compliance with taxation, ASIC, and other regulatory requirements

· Liaise with auditors, external accountants, and financial institutions

· Support senior management with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis

About You

We're looking for a capable and experienced professional who thrives on a hands-on environment and can manage end-to-end accounting in a small business setting.

· Minimum 7+ years of accounting experience

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline. CPA preferred

· Prior experience in investment, lending, or financial services (preferred)

· Strong knowledge of Australian accounting and tax standards

· High level of accuracy and attention to detail

· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

· Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., Xero, MYOB, or similar)

Salary & Benefits

· $110,000 per annum + Superannuation
