The ROLE

• Assists with planning and construction phases of the project.
• Plan and support onsite construction activities including providing direction as required.
• Assists in the preparation of the construction and environmental method statements and other documentation as required in the project planning conditions as required.
• Setup project quality controls in accordance with Project Specifications.
• Direct construction, operations, and maintenance activities at project site as required.
• Track daily production and costings, develops forecast cost to complete and measure performance against this for activity codes/budget within area of responsibility.
• Assists Project Manager and site staff in evaluating third party designs and construction methods.
• Ensure that all activities are completed in a safe and efficient way.
• Any other duties or tasks as reasonably directed.

About YOU

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• 5 years relevant experience in civil construction industry including minimum 1 year at Project Engineer level.
• High level of competency in project delivery and financial reporting
• Comprehensive knowledge of civil engineering principals to maximise sustainability and safety wile minimising defects.
• Detailed knowledge of Government specifications, Australian standards, contract administration, procurement and subcontracting principles.
• Highly developed communication skills both written and verbal to effectively communicate with customers, colleagues and management.
• Abililty to understand, write and implement Project Management Plan(s) and Specifications.
• Sound understanding of Microsoft Office software - in particular Microsoft Excel.
• Current Drivers licence
• White Card
• Managed delivery for package of work or project in excess of $2 million in value.
• Civil Structures experience (desirable)
• Job Pac experience (desirable)
