About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Relations (IR) Specialist to provide high-level advice and develop strategies that support effective management of IR matters across the business. This role is pivotal in shaping enterprise agreement strategies, fostering positive union relationships, and ensuring compliance with legislative requirements while driving best-for-business outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Develop frameworks and reporting structures to ensure consistent management of IR matters.
- Provide expert verbal and written advice on complex IR issues.
- Conduct investigations into formal grievances, disputes, misconduct, and workplace concerns.
- Prepare and manage submissions to the Fair Work Commission and advocate in hearings as required.
- Support the development and implementation of enterprise agreement bargaining strategies aligned to business objectives.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders and union representatives.
- Ensure governance and compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or related discipline; IR-specific qualifications or experience highly regarded.
- Proven experience negotiating enterprise agreements and managing IR disputes.
- Strong understanding of industrial instruments, including the Fair Work Act and National Employment Standards.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective relationships with unions and internal stakeholders.
- Skilled in managing investigations, disciplinary processes, and performance management matters.
- Experience advocating before the Fair Work Commission or similar bodies.
Eligibility
This role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance up to an NV1 level. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on you obtaining and maintaining such clearance.
