Bridgestone Service Centre Winnellie & Ironman 4×4 is looking for a Motor Vehicle Accessories Fitter.

We pay above award wages (up to $75,000 per annum), depending on your skills, experience and references.

Full-time position at 38 hours per week plus overtime including Saturdays (8 am – 12 pm), depending on bookings.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Certified qualifications required to undertake the mechanical tasks and authorised vehicle inspections allowed within the store.
  • Current NT Driver's Licence.
  • Previous experience as a mechanic, accessories fitter, auto electrics or panel beater.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a customer service and team environment.

MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Repair engine failures; repair mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues and provide advice on repair and service options to customer vehicles.
  • Identify parts and supplies required to undertake mechanical jobs.
  • Fit bull bars, tow bars, suspension, canopies, roof-top tents, snorkels, electrical winches, air lockers, roof racks, UHF's, dual battery systems, and many other similar parts and Ironman 4x4 accessories.
  • Assess vehicles for accessory suitability and customise fitting methods as required.
  • Verify vehicle serviceability by conducting test drives; adjusting controls and systems to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Ensure all equipment is used and maintained in a correct and safe manner. In consultation with the Operations Manager, ensure all equipment calibrations are carried out as per requirement.
  • Ensure all work areas and equipment are clean and tidy at all times.
  • Participate in relevant training and assist in training other staff in mechanical repairs.
  • Assist in other areas of the store, e.g. tyre fitting, wheel balancing and other duties as directed by the Managers

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 – $75,000.00 per year
