About the Role
We are looking for our next Area Manager to lead the branch network across the Central WA wheatbelt region.
This full-time, permanent position would suit a dynamic and experienced sales leader with a strong commercial agribusiness understanding who values innovation and developing people.
As an Elders Area Manager, you will be responsible for leading a dedicated and passionate team, sales performance, and driving growth and efficiency outcomes within the area. This is a very diverse senior management role where you will be entrusted to manage all aspects of area operations. Your strong leadership skills will allow you to support sales staff and empower them to grow with the backing of an experienced network.
The successful candidate can be based out of any location within this region; regular travel will be required across the branch network.
Responsibilities
As an Area Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Lead and support Branch Managers to deliver on business priorities and elevate team performance
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients to provide personalised recommendations that strengthen the growth of their businesses
- Communicating clear direction, strategy, goals and expectations, developing an inclusive, positive team culture
- Contributing to & implementing Elders operational plans within the State and Area to guide & ensure delivery of the overall business strategy
- Cultivating new sales opportunities to strengthen Elders' presence
- Actively participating in strategy and planning for the area and state
- Prioritising the safety of your staff and clients, and actively contributing to Elders' zero-harm culture
About You
To excel at Elders, you:
- Are an experienced leader with in-depth knowledge of the agricultural industry (minimum 10 years' experience), including product and sales management
- Can effectively lead and motivate a team made up of diverse individuals, driving the achievement of annual sales and earnings targets
- Thrive in a collaborative and agile working environment
- Are resourceful, forward-thinking and passionate about creating meaningful change for clients and communities
- Understand that people are our most important asset
- Have a proven ability to deliver outstanding customer service and cultivate lasting client relationships
- Possess strong operational, sales, and people management skills along with effective negotiation abilities
