ConsultANZ is seeking an experienced Area Manager to oversee the operations of a thriving pavement depot business in Hervey Bay, QLD, Australia This role involves managing a diverse range of activities, with the business focusing on road construction.
Main Duties- Lead and manage laying crews for both chip seal and asphalt projects, ensuring efficient and effective operations.
- Oversee the operation and maintenance of the asphalt plant, ensuring continuous production and delivery to project sites.
- Handle all aspects of commercial reporting, ensuring accurate and timely financial tracking.
- Maintain high standards of quality and Health & Safety (H&S) across all operations.
- Provide leadership to a team of 3-4 direct reports, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a similar role, particularly in asphalt and chip seal operations.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
- Experience in managing production operations, particularly in asphalt plants, and ensuring product delivery to sites.
- Ability to manage commercial reporting and financial oversight.
- A strong commitment to maintaining and enhancing Health & Safety standards.
