This is a unique opportunity to become the inaugural CEO for a new independent entity which is currently operating as a subsidiary to a high-profile parent company.

Delivering tier 1 community housing in Western Australia, this business will be gearing up to grow significantly and provide a place to live for many more disadvantaged West Australians into the future.

Supported by a passionate, active and highly credential board you are tasked with delivering growth and operational excellence with strong governance and financial stewardship. Your responsibilities include:

  • Deliver and refine the operating model and growth strategy
  • Identify and progress new housing development opportunities, particularly through the Housing Australia Future Fund (HAFF) and Build-to-Rent partnerships.
  • Oversee the planning and delivery of approved development projects.
  • Ensure effective management of the existing housing portfolio, including tenancy, safety, wellbeing and property maintenance.

  • Build strong strategic relationships with government, regulators, development partners and the community housing sector.
  • Lead budgeting, reporting and funding activities in alignment with project and organisational objectives.
  • Deliver financial performance that supports growth and strengthens the balance sheet.
  • Lead and develop a small but growing team, building organisational capability and fostering an engaged and high-performing culture.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory, contractual and funding requirements and strengthen risk management systems and organisational resilience.
  • Lead a culture of workplace health and safety.

You likely bring the following experience:

  • Leadership in housing, property development, community services, or NFP
  • Property development financing, construction and delivery.
  • Working with boards, regulators and government.
  • Managing complex budgets and funding arrangements.
