About the role

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Canvas Machinist to join our team at CANVAS AND VINYL SPECIALITIES in Brendale, Queensland. This is a casual position, offering the opportunity to work with a dynamic and innovative company in the manufacturing industry.

What you'll be doing

  • Operating industrial sewing machines to fabricate a variety of canvas and vinyl products including: Canopies, torno covers, awnings, one off specialty items using zips, touch tapes, bindings etc....
  • Interpreting technical specifications and patterns to produce high-quality custom items.
  • Collaborating with the design and production teams to ensure efficient workflows
  • Maintaining machinery and work area to the highest standards of safety and cleanliness.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.

What we're looking for

  • Proven experience as an Industrial Canvas Machinist in the manufacturing industry.
  • Strong technical skills and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and patterns
  • Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Physical fitness is an advantage due the scope of work entailed within the job.
