About Us

Engineering Applications (ENAP) is a trusted Engineering and Construction company with over 40 years of experience. Based in Hemmant and Carole Park, we work across a wide range of industries, including food, manufacturing, mining, chemical, and materials handling.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced, certificate qualified, 1st Class Machinist with 5+ years post trade experience to join our busy general jobbing machine shop based in Hemmant. Broad industry experience is essential as we carry out precision general machining for the fabrication and repair of process plant and equipment across all types of industry. Areas of work may also includeYatala, Brendale, Carole Park, Ipswich, Hemmant and Nerang.

What You?ll Be Doing:

  • Competently and efficiently use manual lathes, mills and other workshop equipment to conduct complex manual machining of components for fabrication and repairs.
  • Collaborate and work with multidisciplinary trade based mechanical engineering teams as well as Site Supervisors and Project Managers
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication specs
  • Follow site-specific and ENAP safety procedures, including SWMS and JSA development

What You?ll Need

  • Trade Qualified - Fitter/Machinist
  • Experience working as a Machinist in metal machining and fabrication environment
  • Demonstrated experience in operating center lathes, radial drills, milling machines, and horizontal borer
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering technical drawings
  • High attention to detail and a sound knowledge of measuring instruments
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot and work in a fast-paced & dynamic work environment
  • CNC lathe operation with experience in Fanuc control is advantageous
