About the role

We are seeking an experienced and talented Chef/Cook to join our dynamic team at Stanley's Barn Restaurant in Upper Coomera QLD 4209. This full-time role is an excellent opportunity for a culinary professional to showcase their skills and contribute to the success of our acclaimed restaurant.

What you'll be doing

  • Preparing and cooking a variety of high-quality dishes from our diverse menu
  • Ensuring compliance and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.
  • Collaborating with the kitchen team to ensure efficient workflow and timely service
  • Assisting in menu development and implementation of new recipes and special event catering.
  • Monitoring inventory and placing orders to maintain adequate supplies
  • Adhering to budgetary guidelines and controlling food costs
  • Contributing to a positive and professional kitchen environment

What we're looking for

  • Formal culinary qualification (Certificate IV in commercial cookery or equivalent)
  • Must have a minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a similar role .
  • Strong technical cooking skills and a passion for creating exceptional dishes
  • Excellent time management, multitasking and problem-solving abilities
  • A team-oriented approach and the ability to work collaboratively
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and kitchen operations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Available Wednesday through Sunday ( plus Public Holidays)
