A position has become available for an experienced Chef to join our 60 bed facility at Garden City Aged Care Services in Upper Mt Gravatt for a variety of shifts.

You will contribute to an efficient team providing quality meals, excellent presentation and prompt service for our residents. In addition, you will have the important task of maintaining high level hygiene in the kitchen and dining areas.

Skills Requirements

  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery - with actual hands-on experience OR equivalent 3 years hands-on commercial cooking experience in Healthcare or Aged care
  • Food Safety Certification highly regarded
  • Healthcare or Aged Care experience with understanding of special dietary requirements - texture modified foods, allergies etc
  • Knowledge of safe food handling practices, WHS and HACCP
  • Competent in food preparation, cooking & plating
  • Proven ability and willingness to work harmoniously as a member of a small team in a fast-paced environment
  • Be well presented & enthusiastic
  • Have COVID-19 Vaccination
  • Valid police check or willingness to obtain one
