About the Opportunity
Join eHealth NSW as a Computer Desktop Engineer in Clinical Application Services (Ambulance Clinical Systems) and make a real impact on healthcare. In this role, you'll deliver expert-level support and design input for end-user computing environments, focusing on Microsoft Windows operating systems. You'll ensure desktop infrastructure stability, security, and performance, manage software deployments, and contribute to developing standards and automation. Additionally, you'll support seamless integration of desktop systems with enterprise applications and cloud services, driving innovation and reliability across our technology landscape.
In this role, you will:
- Deliver onsite suppor
t for critical workstations and systems, including troubleshooting of hardware, operating systems (OS), and applications. - Develop, deploy, maintain
standard operating environments (SOEs) and group policy objects (GPOs) to ensure consistency and compliance with IT policies, security standards, and data protection regulations. - Monitor and optimise
desktop performance, connectivity, and user experience to proactively identify and resolve issues utilising industry tools such as SolarWinds and Citrix Access Management. - Lead and develop
OS and endpoint patching strategies to minimise risk and system downtime. - Collaborate
with subject matter experts and vendors to resolve complex technical issues implement continuous improvements involving software upgrades, migrations, and deployments.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
- Demonstrated experience managing and supporting Microsoft Windows desktop environments in large enterprise or government settings.
- Strong expertise in troubleshooting of IT systems including virtual machines, on-premises and cloud-based server hosts.
- Knowledge of configuring and deploying Microsoft Windows 10/11 operating systems, with hands-on experience in Microsoft Endpoint Manager (SCCM/Intune), Active Directory, and Group Policy.
- Solid understanding of ITIL practices and experience working within an IT service management framework.
