Position Title: Food Process Worker

Status: Permanent, Full time

Hours: 38 +

Reports To: Production Manager

Morning Shifts (Currently)

  • Monday 6am to 2pm
  • Tuesday 6am to 2pm
  • Wednesday 6am to 2pm
  • Thursday 6am to 2pm
  • Friday 6am to 2pm
  • Saturday 6am to 2pm
  • Sunday CLOSED

Purpose of Position This role is responsible for performing a variety of tasks involved in the production and packaging of raw food products. This requires adherence to strict food safety and quality standards to ensure that our products meet the highest levels of quality and hygiene. The goal is to increase efficiency, profitability, and overall customer satisfaction.

  • Adhere to proper knife handling practices and safety protocols
  • Accurately dice a variety of produce according to specified standards
  • Demonstrate safe knife handling
  • Thoroughly wash and sanitise all fresh produce using approved protocols.
  • Conduct quality checks on raw materials and finished food products to ensure they meet the required standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the work area, including machinery and equipment
  • Follow detailed instructions and specifications to ensure consistent and accurate productions of food items
  • Assist in the packaging and labelling of food products ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment
  • Maintain accurate records of production quantities, materials used, and other relevant data
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets and deadlines
  • Assist in managing inventory levels of raw materials and finished food products
  • Adhere to productions schedules and timelines to meet delivery

Essential Criteria Knowledge and Experience

  • Proven working experience in food processing for a minimum of 1 year.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards

Ability and Skills

  • Time Management
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team

Desirable:

  • Industry experience in food service/hospitality.
  • Industry experience in food manufacturing
  • experience in operating food processing machinery
  • HACCP Certification

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $1,200.00 – $1,600.00 per week
