About the role

We are seeking a Finance and Compliance Manager to lead our corporate services function and provide strategic financial and compliance advice to the CEO and leadership team. This is a pivotal role in shaping the organisation's financial health, compliance frameworks, and governance standards.

You will oversee budgeting, reporting, audits, and compliance with statutory and funder requirements, while fostering a culture of financial stewardship and continuous improvement. You will be part of leading our organisation toward future investment opportunities and program expansion by engaging in strategic planning, contributing to business case development, and advising on the financial and compliance aspects of service delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Lead corporate services activities and contribute to strategic planning and organisational growth
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, and financial performance reporting
• Oversee compliance with statutory obligations, funding agreements, and internal policies
• Coordinate annual audits and manage grant acquittals
• Provide advice on financial risk, resource allocation, and social value reporting
• Maintain strong relationships with funders, suppliers, and the Management Committee and its subcommittees
• Oversee payroll, salary packaging, and insurance activities
• Provide IT and asset management oversight
• Support the CEO and other leaders in the organisation through provision of advice and support with stakeholder engagement, if required

What we're looking for

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
• CA/CPA accredited qualification (or working towards)
• Experience within the NFP sector preferred
• Knowledge of statutory reporting, audit processes, and funding acquittals
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Ability to drive process improvements and manage change effectively
• A passionate, self-motivated individual who is comfortable working in a small organisation that is undergoing growth in size and capability
• Must be an Australian permanent resident or citizen

Salary $100,000 – $130,000 per year dependent on experience + superannuation + salary packaging options
