Program Officer/Grants Administration

Location: Brisbane CBD - Onsite

Employment Type: Full-time

12 Month Contract

We are seeking a Grants Administrator to support the delivery of grant programs that foster growth, resilience, and innovation. This role is ideal for someone with a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

As a Program Officer, you will:

  • Administer grant programs, including application assessments, variations, acquittals, and audits, ensuring compliance with guidelines and internal processes.
  • Provide guidance and support to grant applicants and recipients throughout the grant lifecycle.
  • Maintain accurate records using systems such as SmartyGrants, CRM, and SAP.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, and briefing materials with precision and timeliness.
  • Monitor program progress and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support grant rounds by coordinating timelines, reconciling funds, publishing information, and assisting with application reviews.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure high-quality service delivery.

About You

  • Proven experience in accurate processing, record-keeping, and compliance.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to resolve issues effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to team success.
  • Experience with grants management systems (e.g., SmartyGrants), CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office.
  • A customer-focused approach to supporting grant applicants and recipients.

Desirable Qualifications & Requirements

  • While no mandatory qualifications are required, significant experience in grants administration is highly desirable.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo a Criminal History Check prior to commencement.
  • A statutory declaration confirming no criminal history will be required to enable commencement prior to clearance.
