We are currently seeking an experienced Account Executive to join our Growth team, with a specific focus on public sector and community organisations.
This role is ideal for someone who is genuinely motivated by helping others, building trusted relationships, and contributing to outcomes that matter beyond revenue alone.
You'll thrive in this role if you are a relationship-driven sales professional who understands how to navigate complex multi-stakeholder environments. You'll be responsible for developing new partnerships, expanding our footprint in this sector, and positioning Truis as a trusted, long-term technology partner.

Truis is one of Queensland's largest privately owned IT solutions providers, with more than 45 years' experience supporting enterprise and mid-market organisations across Australia.
Working exclusively with IT Teams, we provide Procurement, Co-Managed & Professional Services to augment our customers internal capabilities.
What you'll do
In this role, you'll:
- Identify, pursue, and win new business opportunities across public sector and community organisations (Local Government, Health, Education, Social Services, NFP)
- Take a consultative selling approach, uncovering customer challenges and presenting tailored technology solutions.
- Manage the full sales lifecycle from prospecting through to contract execution.
- Maintain accurate pipeline management, forecasting, and CRM updates.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams includes sales leadership, marketing, solutions architects and delivery.
- Leverage relationships with vendors, partners, and distributors to strengthen solutions and co-selling opportunities.
- Stay informed on sector trends, funding models, and regulatory considerations.
What you'll bring
- Proven experience as an Account Executive or similar role selling technology solutions and services.
- Demonstrated success selling into public sector and community organisations.
- Established relationships and networks within these sectors, or a strong ability to build trusted connections quickly.
- Strong understanding of government procurement processes, frameworks, and buying cycles.
- Experience with solution selling in complex, multi-offering environments.
- Ability to package and position the right mix of products, professional services, managed services, and subscriptions.
- Highly skilled in stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication.
- Commercially minded, organised, self-motivated and collaborative.
