About the Role:

This pivotal executive role leads a high-performing team of four specialists and partners with 15+ Mazda dealerships across Queensland to deliver strong commercial outcomes and an exceptional customer experience. Reporting to the Director Sales and Marketing, you will also regularly engage with our Melbourne Head Office, influencing decisions at the highest level.

This is a role for a challenger—a leader who thrives on building relationships, lifting capability, and inspiring others with a customer-first mindset.

This position requires a full-time, in-office presence five days a week, fostering a collaborative work environment and promoting effective teamwork.

Key Responsibilities:


• Leadership & team development: Inspire, develop, and empower the QLD State Office team while overseeing day-to-day operations and fostering a positive, high-accountability culture.


• Customer Experience transformation:Champion Mazda's CX transformation across all dealerships, ensuring a consistent, premium and Omotenashi-inspired customer experience.


• Financial & business management: Shape financial plans, sales forecasts, and monthly business updates for the Mazda Australia executive team—combining commercial rigour with strategic insight.


• Sales & profitability maximisation:Drive growth across vehicle sales, parts, service and accessories, strengthening market presence and long-term dealer performance.


• Performance standards: Hold dealerships to Mazda's high standards of operational excellence, ensuring delivery of the "Ultimate Customer Experience." Lead structured quarterly performance assessments with Dealer Principals, setting clear goals and designing actionable improvement plans.


• Marketing, training & local Initiatives:Support or oversee national campaigns, co-op marketing, dealer training, and local market intelligence to enhance brand presence.


• Dealer engagement: Build deep, trusted relationships with each dealership—adding value at every visit and providing transparent, consistent reporting.


• Brand stewardship: Represent Mazda with pride, ensuring our policies, programs and processes strengthen our reputation with dealers and customers alike.

About You:

You bring a powerful blend of commercial acumen, people leadership, and challenger spirit. You are energised by working with performance-driven teams, influencing stakeholders, and shaping strategic direction.

To be successful, you will have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in business, engineering or a related field.
  • Experience in a similar automotive leadership role.
  • Strong commercial and analytical capability.
  • A track record of success in KPI-driven environments.
  • Exceptional influencing skills and relationship-building ability.
  • A customer-first mindset and passion for elevating CX.
  • Clear communication skills and executive presence.
  • A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel regionally and interstate.
