About the Opportunity
We are excited to announce an opening for a Senior Recruitment Officer – Clerk Grade 7/8 position, within School Recruitment.
We welcome applications from individuals with experience and enthusiasm for recruitment of school-based staff. From this recruitment process, a recruitment pool will be created to fill upcoming temporary and ongoing Senior Recruitment Officer - Clerk Grade 7/8 roles across School Recruitment.

About the role
The Senior Recruitment Officer provides specialist advice and recruitment solutions to support the placement of school-based staff, with a focus on more complex school environments. This role ensures high-quality customer service while navigating unique staffing challenges and providing strategic guidance to schools with specialised workforce needs.
In this role, you will play a key role in partnering with stakeholders within our school networks, providing them with specialist advice and support and ensuring compliance and adherence with our Staffing Agreement and relevant Awards.
Additionally, you will mentor and support Recruitment Officers within your team, providing advice and assistance to help them succeed in their roles.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Possess excellent time management and multitasking skills, enabling you to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines. This includes answering multiple calls throughout the day and working within a rostered phone-based system while meeting the daily requirements of the position.
- Demonstrate outstanding communication and customer service skills, maintain a positive, can-do attitude, and take accountability as a dedicated recruitment contact for a school network.
- Have great attention to detail and enjoy building trusting relationships and collaborating with your team and members of school communities.
- Be adaptable, flexible and forward thinking - a self-starter who is motivated to provide meaningful outcomes for children in NSW public schools.
- Exhibit strong analytical and organisational skills, along with a natural ability to solve problems.
- Build and sustain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders with competing and time priorities and tight deadlines in a high pressured, dynamic working environment.

Essential requirements, experience and knowledge
- Tertiary qualifications or relevant experience in human resource management, operations, customer service or a relevant discipline.
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the value of public education.
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
