About Reev

Loneliness has become the epidemic of our generation. Dating apps promised connection but turned it into a game. They make us perform, pretend, and swipe through people like they are disposable. A lot of new apps try to fix this, but most focus on one clever feature or surface tweak instead of the real problem.

Reev is different. It is not built on a single idea but on a process that helps people connect differently from the start. It helps us learn how to talk, laugh and connect, how to see who is right for us, and how to take or say no again. We start with live conversation, without photos.

Our aim is to become one of the main dating platforms, a true alternative to the likes of Tinder, Bumble, and Hinge.

Where We Are

We built and tested a fully functional mobile beta that ran in private mode with real users. Over a two-week period, more than 100 dates took place, and people consistently described Reev as
different, genuine, and memorable.

Around 150 people have already experienced Reev, and hundreds more are on the waitlist for the next version. We're now developing Reev V1 for public launch in January 2026, with support from Australia's startup communities and mentors. The foundation is solid, with real traction, strong engagement, and a growing base of people eager to join.

The Role

We're looking for a technical partner who wants to be part of creating a cultural shift in how we connect. Depending on your background and commitment, you could join as Founding Tech Lead, CTO, or explore a co-founder path as the company grows

You'll work closely with our current build partner while staying hands-on with the product, improving reliability, building new features, and preparing Reev to scale. Over time, you'll take full technical ownership of the codebase and product direction.

This is
equity-only until funding
, with the equity amount negotiable based on experience and level of involvement. We're targeting a
pre-seed raise around mid to late 2026
, with salary conversion once funding is secured. Expect steady engagement, a few focused hours most days, with flexibility around life and work.

What You'll Do

  • Shape both the technical direction and day-to-day build, including product architecture
  • Contribute directly to development and feature delivery
  • Review and guide the build partner's work
  • Strengthen app performance, security, and stability
  • Plan the transition to in-house development post-launch
  • Collaborate with the founder on roadmap and product strategy
