Where the team fits in
The Corporate Strategy team at REA Group is pivotal in driving the development and evolution of our company-wide strategy. Tasked with delivering double-digit profitable growth, the team acts as a 'true trusted advisor' to the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and REA Group Board.
The team reports to the Chief Strategy Officer who reports to the CEO. We play a crucial role in influencing strategic decisions, ensuring our work impacts our consumers, customers and business operations materially.
What The Role Is All About
- Contribute to the evolution of REA Group's Corporate Strategy, Business Unit and Product strategies
- Input into the annual Board Strategy Day and Investor and Market Analyst briefings
- Drive the delivery of strategic projects, founded in strategic insights, tangible outcomes and collaboration
- Lead new market and product strategies, considering differing market dynamics, market size (TAM) to accelerate profitable growth and guide decision-making processes
- Produce insightful market intelligence and rigorous, fact-based analysis to support recommendations
- Champion innovative thinking to define business strategies that safeguard REA Group's success over the next 3, 5, or 10 years
- Consider how we balance the needs across consumers (property sellers & property seekers), real estate agents and mortgage brokers
- Identify and assess target organisations for corporate development activity
- Input into commercial due diligence activity including business model development, revenue synergies and product & packaging
- Articulate strategic recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders through impactful presentations and written communications
- Collaborate directly with senior leaders to ensure strategy adoption and execution
Who We're Looking For
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Finance, Law, Engineering, Accounting, or Business
- Demonstrated experience working in Management consulting and/or in-house strategy roles
- Strategic, entrepreneurial mindset, can-do attitude, and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional strategic thinking, entrepreneurial mindset, and adaptability within fast-paced environments
- Proven ability to craft insight-driven recommendations through hypothesis-based problem-solving.
- Strong commercial acumen with aptitude in qualitative and quantitative analysis, including financial modelling, competitor reviews, market assessment, TAMs
- Excel and powerpoint skills with experience in crafting executive-level presentations
- Expertise in managing strategic projects
- Exposure to corporate development including strategic rationale and revenue/cost synergy opportunities
- Enjoy building lasting relationships across the business
