Job Summery:
Your role will be dynamic, with no two days being the same, as you handle a range of tasks. We offer a variety of work, from renovations, maintenance, and new constructions over a variety of environments from Residential and Commercial. With some working away from home opportunities on occasion.
Key Responsibilities:
Erecting scaffolding and ladders in compliance with workplace safety regulations and procedures.
Surface Preparation: Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as needed.
Painting: Apply paint, varnishes, stains, and other finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.
Tool Operation: Use brushes, rollers, spray equipment, and other tools to ensure smooth, even coverage.
Quality Control: Excellent attention to detail, ensuring high-quality finishes. Ensure the final product meets the desired finish and meets company standards.
Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work environment.
Client Communication: Interact with clients professionally to ensure satisfaction throughout the project.
Time Management: Efficiently manage time to meet project deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Applicants must have:
Proven experience as a painter
Qualification in Trade, or working towards
Current construction industry white card
Current Australian drivers license
Have or be able to obtain a Criminal Police Check
Have or be able obtain a Working with Children Check
Strong knowledge of surface preparation techniques and different types of paints and finishes
Proficiency in using various painting tools, including brushes, rollers, and sprayers
Ability to work at heights using scaffolding and ladders
Strong organizational and time management skills to meet project deadlines
Familiarity with workplace safety procedures and regulation
