About Us

NDF Disc Planters is a leading Australian manufacturer with over 20 years of experience producing high-quality disc planters. All our machines are proudly built in-house at our Narromine factory. We take pride in delivering reliable, Australian-made equipment to farmers across the country.

We are looking for an Assistant Spray Painter.

This role involves assisting with all aspects of spray painting and surface preparation in our factory. You'll work closely with our experienced painter to ensure all parts are finished to a high standard. It will mainly be painting new parts but with the occasional repair work on older machines.

The position could also include runs to and from our local powder coating facility, so a current MR (Medium Rigid) license and above is desirable.

License upgrade for the right person.

This is a hands-on position that would suit someone with previous spray painting experience who is keen to learn and take pride in their work. On site training is provided

The role is casual with the potential to become full-time for the right person.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare surfaces and components for painting (Loading Automated short blasting machine, cleaning, sanding, masking, and priming)
  • Assist with spray painting and finishing of machine parts
  • Operate and maintain painting equipment and tools
  • Ensure safe handling and storage of paints and materials
  • Maintain a clean and organise work area
  • Assist other areas of the factory as required
  • Local runs in MR truck with a pig trailer. For drop of or collection from our local powder coating supplier.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in spray painting, automotive, or industrial painting (preferred but not essential)
  • Some exposure or hobby-level spray painting experience is required.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Willingness to learn and work as part of a team
  • Forklift license will be an advantage.
