Who You Are:

  • A Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA)
  • A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, who is comfortable working closely with and presenting to family group clients.
  • Highly organised, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently while meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality work.
  • Adept at problem solving and possess a strong analytical mind.
  • A self-motivated individual with a proactive approach and a desire to learn.
  • Ideally you have industry accounting exposure and an interest in the family/public sector.
  • Proficient in accounting software and possess Excel skills.
  • Committed to professional development and staying current with industry trends.

What You'll Do:

  • Be the primary contact for a designated group of clients. You will be allocated a portfolio of clients whom you will be responsible for, with the support of the CRM.
  • Prepare annual accounts and returns and analysis for some clients.
  • Handle income tax returns, quarterly BAS/GST returns, and other compliance matters.
  • Assist managers and directors with special assignments and advisory work.
  • Assist with superannuation fund financials, including income tax returns, bank reconciliations, and investment records.
  • Collaborate with the team to optimize workflow.
  • Handle clients across a range of structures, including companies, trusts, individuals, and Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs).
  • Actively participate in internal training programs.
  • Engage in practice management initiatives, potentially leading internal system improvement projects.
