My client are a growing Accounting Firm based in Melbourne's CBD. They are looking for a talented Business Services Accountant to join their team

About The Firm:

The Role:
As an Intermediate Accountant, you will work alongside a talented team of professionals and have the opportunity to develop your expertise in a range of accounting services. Key responsibilities include:

  • Different to your usual Firm, more Advisory work & less pushing numbers.
  • Dealing with clients hands on, fast tracking your learning & skills.
  • Preparing financial statements, tax returns, and BAS for individuals, trusts, companies, and SMSFs.
  • Assisting with tax planning and advisory services.
  • Managing client relationships and maintaining regular communication.
  • Reviewing work completed by junior staff and providing mentorship.
  • Identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements and process enhancements.
  • Ensuring compliance with Australian accounting standards and tax legislation.
  • Supporting senior team members with ad-hoc projects and client requirements.

About You:
To succeed in this role, you will need to have:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience
    in public practice or a similar accounting environment.
  • A relevant
    accounting degree
    and progress towards CPA/CA qualification (or equivalent).
  • Strong technical knowledge of Australian tax and accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in
    Xero, MYOB, and other accounting software
    .
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team.
  • A strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • A proactive attitude with a genuine interest in professional development.
