These listings are testament to every person who helps make REA a great place to work.

Where the team fits in

Launchpad is REA's central platform engineering group, the engine behind our engineering culture. Our mission is to create seamless tech experiences and engaging environments that accelerate innovation across the entire company.

The Senior Product Manager sits across multiple squads within the internal platform experience pillar within the Global Technology Group. We are a platform engineering team that delivers platforms-as-products to REA's tech community that enables them to work and ship products faster.

What the role is all about

As a Senior Product Manager for REA's Internal Developer Platform, you will own the product vision, strategy, roadmap, and outcomes for the platform—accelerating developer productivity and platform reliability while simplifying operations and optimising costs.

You will:

  • Define and deliver a multi‑year internal developer platform strategy that unifies managed capabilities, golden paths, guardrails, and pre‑wired observability to reduce cognitive load, improve delivery speeds, and embed security and compliance by default
  • Continuously research and refine developer journeys to enhance platform usability, operational excellence, and time‑to‑production, incorporating early‑adopter feedback and evolving capabilities to REA‑scale resilience (e.g. improving SLA targets for critical systems)
  • Partner across engineering, architecture, security, SRE, FinOps, and other cross‑functional teams to prioritise outcomes, optimise value sequencing, improve reliability and cost efficiency, and support secure network and operational patterns
  • Drive migration and adoption from legacy systems to PaaS, ensuring pragmatic enablement, education, and measurable improvements over the status quo
Define, measure, and communicate clear success metrics for usage, reliability, change throughput, operational availability, and developer value to guide prioritisation and demonstrate impact

Who we're looking for

  • 5+ years in product management (or related) in complex tech environments; experience with internal platforms or developer tooling preferred
  • Solid understanding of modern platform engineering and Kubernetes‑based developer platforms (workload abstractions, golden paths, policy‑as‑code, observability)
  • Experience working with or around security/compliance guardrails, SRE practices, and platform‑level SLOs for availability and change throughput
  • Familiarity with developer experience ecosystems (e.g., Realm for templating and self‑service) and CI/CD workflows for platform‑managed compute
  • Excellent communication and influence across engineers, architecture, senior leaders, and cross‑functional partners
  • Comfort with FinOps concepts and using platform‑level metrics to drive utilisation improvements and cost outcomes
Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams and influence outcomes without direct authority
