We are seeking a highly motivated and strategic Accounts Receivable Group Manager to lead the transformation, standardisation, and optimisation of our Accounts Receivable (AR) and Credit functions. This is a pivotal leadership role where you will manage the onshore AR team, govern offshore service delivery, and oversee our managed service provider to ensure efficient and effective operations.

- Service Provider Management: Oversee the offshoring strategy for transactional AR activities, ensuring smooth transitions and strong integration with our managed service provider. Act as the primary liaison for escalation, KPIs, and service delivery outcomes.
- Process Improvement, Compliance & Governance: Redesign AR and credit processes to achieve standardisation, automation, and scalability. Ensure compliance with audit requirements and embed best practice governance.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong partnerships with business stakeholders, addressing challenges and ensuring collections performance aligns with business needs. Drive the transition of decentralised AR and credit tasks into the shared service model.
- Sustainability & Wellbeing: Promote a culture of safety, responsibility, and wellbeing within the team, championing initiatives such as Downer's mental health and wellbeing programs.

- Strong understanding of AR processes, collections, credit control, dispute resolution, and cash application.
- Demonstrated experience managing offshore teams or service providers, with a track record of driving performance and continuous improvement.
- Expertise in process transformation, automation, and finance system implementation (ERP, collections systems, or similar tools).
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence, resolve issues, and build trusted relationships.
- A proactive, detail-oriented, and collaborative approach, with the ability to balance strategic leadership and hands-on execution.
