About the role.

Due to an increased workload and strong project pipeline, we invite applications from asuitably qualified Electrical & Communications Draftsperson with demonstrated experienceindrafting/designing for underground power and/or comms solutions using MicroStation and AutoCAD to work with us on an ongoing basis either part or full time.

You will be working within a technically strong team and will produce design and drafting drawings for underground power & comms projects ranging from small lot developments to large master planned subdivision communities and infrastructure projects for infill and Greenfields projects. You will be responsible for creating detailed design drawings in consultation with our clients and will be supported by UPD's strong project support team. This if a fast-paced role that requires an organised and proficient draftsperson who is familiar with Western Power/Horizon Power UDS design standards or designing NBN Co/Opticomm telecommunications solutions.

About you.

You are a qualified draftsperson with demonstrated experience in providing drafting solutions for underground power and or comms. You will have;

• Previous working experience in electrical and communications drafting environment for land development, subdivisions or an associated discipline.
• Demonstrated experience working in an electrical or communications engineering firm or utility provider with knowledge of WA utility provider regs and Australian standards.
• Experience designing and drafting for underground power and NBN communications solutions
• The ability to work both independently and in a team environment
• Must have practical MicroStation experience and knowledge.
• Must have practical AutoCAD experience and knowledge.
• Proficiency in providing electrical and communications drafting support for a range of projects.
• the ability to produce single-line diagrams - desirable
• Experience coordinating the production and delivery of drawings for each project, ensuring the accurate recording of revisions and tracking of documents.
• The ability to review and recommend design improvements in consultation with project designers
• Liaise with clients and relevant authorities as required to ensure the accuracy of drawings
• Suitable qualifications for the role of an Electrical or Communications Draftsperson.
