About
This is a rare opportunity to join a mission-led organisation delivering essential community services. The organisation is embarking on a once-in-a-generation transformation program, reshaping how care is designed and delivered across multiple locations.
Operating in a pragmatic, fast-paced environment where structure is built rather than handed to you, this role is suited to Project Managers who excel in complex settings, build trust quickly, and deliver outcomes through influence as much as authority. If you're motivated by meaningful work and thrive when navigating ambiguity, this project will stretch and reward you in equal measure.
The Opportunity
This foundational program will deliver large-scale service redesign and digital adoption across multiple health service sites. By embedding new governance structures, optimising patient flow, and enabling digital tools such as electronic medical records, the program will set the foundation for future system-wide transformation.
Joining at a pivotal moment, you will be expected to balance strategy with delivery. Timelines are tight, benefits are significant but not always immediately visible, and stakeholder environments are complex. Success will depend on your ability to prioritise, communicate effectively, and bring clarity to challenging decisions.
What You'll Do
Your remit is broad and impactful, driving structure, governance, and momentum across multi-site transformation projects.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead complex transformation projects including clinical service redesign, workforce integration, and digital health implementation.
- Establish project governance, steering committees, and reporting structures to support decision-making and accountability.
- Partner with clinical leaders and multidisciplinary teams to embed best-practice models of care, safety, and governance.
- Coordinate multi-site project delivery across Victoria.
- Identify and manage risks in clinical environments, ensuring safe, high-quality outcomes for young people.
- Deliver clear, comprehensive project reporting to executive leadership, clinical directors, Board committees, and government stakeholders.
- Develop and execute change management strategies tailored to clinical settings and diverse stakeholder groups.
What You'll Bring
You're an experienced Project Manager with a strong record delivering complex health or service transformation initiatives in time-constrained environments. You thrive in ambiguity, bring people together, and deliver outcomes with confidence and clarity.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in health sciences, nursing, allied health, or health management, with additional training in project and/or change management.
- Proven track record delivering large-scale health service transformation projects.
- Deep understanding of clinical service operations, quality frameworks, and Victorian health reform requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to engage, influence, and lead multidisciplinary teams, clinical leaders, and government stakeholders.
- Strong project management expertise including governance, risk management, and policy development.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality documentation and reports.
- A collaborative, adaptable mindset with the resilience to lead projects in complex, evolving health service environments.
Why Join Us
This is more than a project delivery role, it's an opportunity to contribute to a transformation that will have a lasting community impact. You'll be joining at the ground floor of a program that is shaping the future of service delivery across Victoria.
- Mission-led work – be part of an organisation that exists to improve lives and deliver real outcomes for the community.
- High visibility – this program is a priority at executive and board level, giving your work reach and influence.
- Stretch and growth – the complexity of the environment will sharpen your leadership, stakeholder, and delivery skills.
- Impact that lasts – the structures and systems you help build will set the foundation for the organisation's next decade of growth.
Not sure if you meet these requirements? Please apply — we are happy to discuss your individual circumstances.
