About Red Cross
Australian Red Cross is part of the world's largest humanitarian movement. We support and empower people and communities in times of vulnerability. We act for humanity.
About the role
We're looking for a dynamic leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with people, and brings strong attention to detail and financial acumen.
The Regional Area Leader will ensure that First Aid and Mental Health training continues to be delivered to the highest standard across their region. The role is about building on what's already working well — supporting a skilled trainer workforce, maintaining quality, and ensuring consistency for clients and communities.
You will work closely with the Training Delivery and Operations Manager to oversee delivery standards, manage trainer and venue costs, and maintain both quality and sustainability. This role is about problem solving, supporting your team, and leading with energy so trainers and participants alike see the Red Cross as their trusted training partner.
You will bring
- Experience leading teams in training or a related environment, with the ability to deliver quality outcomes for customers and communities
- A dynamic and solutions-focused mindset — confident in tackling challenges, adapting quickly, and finding better ways of working
- Strong people leadership skills, with the ability to inspire, coach, and support a diverse trainer workforce
- Highly developed communication, advocacy, and problem-solving skills, with a confident, respectful style
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships
- Capacity to work within a strengths-based approach and apply trauma-informed care principles
- Strong financial acumen with experience in managing budgets and reviewing costs
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and a proactive approach to managing operations
- Flexibility to work autonomously and collaboratively, with a positive, team-oriented mindset
Mandatory Requirements
A clearance to work with Children and a current Driver's License is required for this role.
